How Can the Lemon Law Serve Consumers?
Once the car is established as a lemon, meaning that the flaws cannot be fixed even after several attempts by the manufacturer or dealership, the consumer can then use the Lemon Law to gain compensation.
The consumer can request for either a replacement of the entire vehicle or changing of the parts in the car that constitute its flaws. In some cases, consumers can also enjoy a full refund if the seller buys back the car for the original price. Once the consumer has informed the dealership of the “lemon”, the seller has 10 working days to respond and take corrective action.
