Volkswagen is a giant auto manufacturer from Germany that was founded in 1937. Volkswagen has its headquarters in Wolfsburg and produces cars that are sold allover the world. Its biggest single market, however, is China which accounts for more than 40% of all Volkswagen global sales. The name Volkswagen means people’s car as the company was founded to produce cars that ordinary Germans could afford. Before the establishment of Volkswagen, only one in 50 Germans owned a car as they were expensive and beyond the reach of most Germans.
Volkswagen produces a broad variety of automobiles. These range from luxury sedans, commercial vans and sporty SUV cars. Volkswagen cars are famous for their German engineering that produces cars that are superbly designed.
